Thanks for the delightful read, as always! I’m glad to hear you also connected with the June Huh story so deeply; It was incredibly reassuring and inspirational—I ended up sharing it with my mother, who also cried while reading it. Lots of tears to go around, but the good kind of tears, the ones that fall when you feel understood, like there’s someone else out there in the world who *gets* you…

I would absolutely try human flesh, given the chance, and provided it was ethically sourced. My favorite story about that is this guy (https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/8p5xlj/) - who had to amputate his leg, but decided to make the best of it and grill up some tacos for him and his best friends.

after all your cool links, here's one in return: https://stereosite.com/gallery - it's a gallery of stereoscopic photos, so the same subject but taken a few feet apart, and if you have VR goggles or something you can look at them there and look at pictures of buildings or clouds with actual depth perception

An absolutely delightful read! I am a big audiobook connoisseur but almost exclusively non fiction.

Favorites include

The Orchid Thief - Susan Orlean

All of Atul Gawande’s books

Yearbook - Seth Rogen

The Night Shift - Alex Finlay (full cast!)

I read mostly nonfiction too and I love Atul Gawande. Pretty sure I've read all his books, but I read them in such short succession over winter during college that they blend together in my mind, so now that I'm looking through the titles I can't remember if I've actually read them all. And I enjoyed Susan Orlean's recent book "On Animals" and her New Yorker articles! Yearbook by Seth Rogen looks really good. tytyty

Hi Annie! It's always nice recieving one of your newsletters. It's always fun to check your recommendations. As for your love interest question, that seems a little bit oddly specific LOL (didn't even know that such a website existed until today) but personally I wouldn't do it haha. Probably would end up looking quite creepy. And, not a law of nature, but one of my favorite laws is Cunningham's Law: The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question, but to post the wrong answer. I've seen time and time again that it's true.

Hope you're having fun in your euro trip! I have visited Barcelona a few years ago and it's such a wonderful city! I can send you an email full of recommendations if you want :)

Have a good day/night!

Hi Annie!

Thanks for the exceptional email again! I love the quirky though handy links! I guess you aren’t doing a show in Amsterdam, though I wouldn’t have missed it for the world! Hope you’re enjoying our amazing city, and not just the touristic parts! :)

hey hey! I'm not doing any shows in Europe. I thought about it.... and then I got here and all I wanted to do was consume espresso and croissants all day, not organize live events. I've loved Holland so far! I was staying in the noord for a bit and now I'm in Jordaan. I went surfing in The Hague yesterday with my Dutch friend and I've been to a few of the big museums, so I think it's been a healthy balance of tourist spots and the real Amsterdam experience. I'm digging the bike lanes — the Netherlands rocks!
